Post 95 C280 transmission problem no gears except Reverse 

I have a 1995 C280. I was driving recently & went to hit the gas pedal but the car would not move. The engine revs & the transmission shifts into the gears but it will not go forward. I have reverse but all the other gears will not work. I have not had a previous problems with the transmission & there were no signs of a problem before this.

Post I fix my own car & have since I've owned it.
