Garage Cabinets, Garage Storage, and Garage Organization

I'm trading in my ML320 with 70k miles for a 2006 ML500 with under 10k. What issues should I be ready to deal with regarding the ML500? I have heard the Nav systems sucks and it is a gas hog. I'm O.K. with the gas mileage issue or otherwise why by a V-8?

Any inherent issues mechanically? My ML320 had constant brake and window swith issues. Otherwise extremely reliable. It did not get expensive until the 50k warranty expired (surprize). I figure if I am going to spend $4,000 to $5,000 per year it might as well be on a newer model with more power.

Any thoughts?
