Garage Cabinets, Garage Storage, and Garage Organization

My dad's C240 (2001) has been giving endless problems in the past few months and no matter where he brings his car to try to fix one problem, another problem comes along! First his CHECK lights came on so while trying to get that fixed, everything else went haywire (seats couldn't move, sun shade popped up and couldn't go back down), back window not useable with the auto button etc etc. Then the Check light went off but all these problems followed! Now his dashboard lights all came on (doesn't go off even when engine is OFF) so he took his car to an authorised Merc workshop and the diagnostic test said it was to do with the wiring to the stereo set. So he took the car back to the stereo shop and asked them to remove the stereo (he was told by the Mercedes workshop that removing the stereo (disconnecting the wiring to the stereo) would do the job. BUT now that that's done, the dashboard lights are STILL on. And his seats cannot move back/front either.
Can someone HELP or offer advice? We are stuck here! Thanks.

Such varied faults could mean a few things. A faulty EIS could cause these faults but do not rule out a light switch module.
need more info. Is CHECK light warning for engine? Try looking in doors for water ingress into CAN network. this can cause all types of problems.
C240 radio prob not on CAN network, unless it is a high end model with early version of COMAND (not very likely)
