hi im new too this so bear with me ! i have a E260 with automatic tranmission.recently a gromit above the drivers foot well has leaked in water and now my gearbox seems very pooly. when i engage drive or reverse the car shudders and engages drive but then drive goes in and out? has anyone had this problem and how do i get it fixed????? thanks

try to investigate where is the leak coming from and where it goes first. is the selector lever or the connector on the transmission electro-hydraulic got water? have you done visual check for oil contamination on the coolant? how about the ATF level?

i'd probably take it to a dealer and have them look at it.. sounds kinda serious
