Hi all
I have had a test done on my 1999 C200 and I was told it needs a new ignition switch it is the keyless type.
I have been told this is a main stealer job so could be expensive, has anybody on the forum had to have this done and what did it involve.
Thanks
Norman
Hi
Can anybody confirm information I am getting that I could buy a switch and get it programmed by somebody with the right equipment to save me going to the main mercedes dealer.
The reason I ask this is the car would have to be towed to them and I live 28 miles from them so the tow charges would be high plus the mercedes price for fitting etc.
I could end up with a very hefty bill for just an ignition switch and it is getting very close to (is the car worth it)
Thanks hope somebody can help
Norman
First of all, please state your problems well why your IGNITION SWITCH is faulty? who told you it was faulty,
Is it the KEYLESS GO type? If yes, Did you checked your Keyless Go card battery?
