Hi Forum,
I have a problem on my ML 320, it shuts down immediately after starting, what could be the problem? it cranks, starts for a second and goes off. what can be the reason why it does not keep on running? sombody once said it is a transponder problem, how can I get to replace the chip? I need sombody that knows his way around this car well, please reach me on  auto1diag@yahoo.com

transponder??? who told you that??? did he check the car using the star diagnosis???

your car needs to be diagnosed properly and in orderly manner before proceeding to the least and perhaps one of the most expensive conclusion.

it could only be just the battery, defective ignition or fuel system, plugged fuel filter, crankshaft position sensor. worse, it could be the engine or the transponder.

we cant tell at this time what really the problem is. go to have star diagnosis to be certain.
