Thinking about this black, sports seated 53k mile 2001, manual trans, as a daily driver. Maintenance records are incomplete (for example, no info if timing belt's been changed). A lovely car, but what exactly should I fear? I'll do a compression check and the usual due diligence exam...what should I be worried about?
Please send me your thoughts.
Thank you so much

the one thing i hate about S class(220) is the airmatic suspension and the ICM always going down. almost everyweek we replace airmatic (sometimes pump and sometimes the strut.) better have it for a drive test. observe shifting quality, temperature, oil pressure, noises, also investigate the engine oil. compression test would be a great idea too. buying this very expensive cars needs a deep research about the history. but i can say still a great car. you'll enjoy it for sure.
