Post S500 headlights

Hi All
I have a 2002 S500, I've had it a couple of months, and love it, -- except for the headlights.- they seem really poor.
At first I thought they were mis aligned, so went to my local dealership, and checked - they were spot on. Next I tried some Phillips uprated bulbs, supposedly upto 50% more light, they are brighter, but still don't seem to let me see any further ahead. It has these 'dome' shaped things for the dipped beam, and they look a bit cloudy don't really know what they should look like.
Just wondering if anyone else had had this problem, & knew how to remedy it.

hello freng14,

you should upgrade to HID. you can have it on the dealer or aftermarket. the difference i've known is the output and price of course. the dealers mostly offers the bright white whereas the aftermarket HIDs has different colors to choose from. but basing on experience, i wont suggest you going with aftermarkets HID's. They're not beam correctly nor are they self leveling as in the OEM. also, you have to modify the housing to fit the aftermarkets and the HID ballasts mountings is an issue too.  goodluck Smile
