SLK320 brake problem

Post SLK320 brake problem

hey all,
I have a 2004 SLK320.
I have been recently having a problem with my front right brake.
I have a short daily drive of less than 20 minutes, lately only during or after periods of rain. My front right brake has been rubbing resulting in excessive heat. To give you an idea, it instantely turns water to steam. I'm certain I could fry an egg in seconds on my rim.

I can tell when it is rubbing simply by the noice and feel. I can also hear/feel it creak when I start off from being stopped.
I have been procrastinating taking it into the dealers for no reason at all, just wondering if this could be resolved easily in my garage.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

It`s possible you have a warped disc, which is quite common & is often caused by sitting at traffic lights with your foot on the brake, following a hard run when the discs are hot.
