Post Starting problem 

Hi All
I have a 1999 C200 Espirit Petrol Manual 1998cc.The problem I have is when I try to start the car all I get is a continuouse clicking sound but engine does not turn over,the clicking stops and then the large fan comes on and builds up to a very fast speed.
If I leave the key in the ignition for about 30mins I get the clicking back and then the clicking goes and the fan starts again.
Advice would be much appreciated

Post starting Problem 

Hi SuperTech and nitrous
Thanks for the advice guys,I had it checked out today by an auto electrician and he said new ignition switch.
I have the keyless DAS3 which he said is main dealer only, they are the only ones that can set it all up and price quote has been £850.00 how they warrent that price beats me

he needs a new ignition switch, anyone here has any experience?
