Garage Cabinets, Garage Storage, and Garage Organization

My mercedes E320 has a clicking noise that seems to emit from behind the dashboard. As soon as the ignition key is turned on a sound like a chattering relay occurs. It goes for about 10 times then stops and then starts again for about 5 times. It then stops and normally doesn't start again until the next time the ignition key is turned on.
This happens whether then engine is started or not. any thoughts?

either that or might be an aftermarket alalrm installed from previous owner and the relay might have been conected with the key lock cylinder wiring and thats why might come from that always when you turn on the igition.. good luck though

i agree but dealing with this problem is quite expensive. replacing the the AC actuator motors is not a problem but the main issue here is the removal of the whole dash board which might take 1 day or more to do the job. goodluck.
